A Long History and a New Opportunity: Winona PVD Coatings, LLC, is the newest addition to the Winona family. Sister company, Winona Powder Coating, Inc., operates powder coating facilities in Mentone and Elkhart, IN. Winona Powder Coating, Inc. has over 25 years of powder coating experience as a high volume industrial job-shop powder coater.

After ordering equipment in May 2007, Winona PVD Coatings, LLC, broke ground on its new G-Chrome production facility on June 12, 2007. Winona’s physical plant was completed in November 2007. Equipment integration followed and the G-Chrome coating line began production in May 2008.

Capitalizing on this “green” chroming technology, the new G-Chrome facility will provide a chrome finish for alloy automotive wheels. G-Chrome is environmentally friendly and has no hazardous waste. The G-Chrome finish outlasts traditional chrome plating in environmental testing performed, weighs significantly less than traditional plated chrome and costs less.

Jamie Visker, CEO of Winona PVD Coatings, LLC and Winona Powder Coating, Inc. stated, “We are committed to providing coating services that offer environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional solvent based liquid coatings and electroplating.” The new facility has ample space for Winona PVD Coatings, LLC to build additional coating lines to more than double its initial production capacity.

With its years of industrial powder coating experience, Winona is well-qualified to provide its G-Chrome finish to large volume customers. Today, Winona Powder Coating provides powder coating services to a large number of industrial customers across several industries, including Bosch, John Deere, Navistar, Parker Hannifin, and AM General Corporation. Winona specializes in delivering high quality finishes to its customers and continually meets quick turnaround requirements.
